Re: Organizing FLAC and MP3 with MM4
I wanted the sync-cache too, but as time went on and PC's got more powerful I less and less see the need as Auto-Conversion works fast (due increased PC speeds). Sure... As if I would buy a brand new maxed out high-performance-high-power-consuming PC just for being able to sync in 4-5 hours instead ...

Re: Organizing FLAC and MP3 with MM4
A feature to avoid auto-conversion and manage several audio formats for the same song via multiple files or a "sync-cache" is highly wanted by many users since several years. Do a search for "sync-cache" in the forum... Years ago this feature has been added to the planned feature list and since then ...

1269 - Filenaming inconsistent
Don't know if this has been mentioned before... Sometimes I need to sort tracks automatically with Ctrl-R, and I am using the song name as last text before the extension like that: D:\FLAC\<Album Interpret>\<Album>\<Song#:2> - <Interpret> - <Titel> Now if I got a track named "F.I.N.E." from ...

Re: Playlist with absolute/relative Path...
There are scripts to export playlists in both ways, with relative and absolute paths. Trixmoto made them once and I changed some little details to fit my needs. In my "Report"-Menu, I got two options: Playlists relative, Playlists iTunes and Playlists absolute. Here are the necessary codes: First ...

Re: Album Art Tagger 4.2 [MM2+3]
The script died at between 400 and 500 records most times, although one time it died after 16 records, and one time I got over 600 records. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. A couple times when it died after 100 records or so, I reran the exact same selection of 500 records over ...

Re: iPod Touch Corrupted Album Art
Actually, I believe that right now the problem is with Apple. I am syncing my iPod Nano 4G using iTunes *only* on my notebook and I (and several other people in the apple discussions) do have very similar problems with album art. The album art appears correct on iTunes 8.0.2, but is corrupted ...

Different character caps status for same album freezes MM
Using MM 3.0.6.1190. I had an album that I ripped with 2 different programs. They took their info from different sources, which resulted in two album titles which were the same with only one small difference: One of the words was written small and in caps in the other. Looked like this: Love for ...

Re: Ipod & Bewertungen sowie Auto-Playlist Problem

Re: RIPPING FILES IN FLAC AND WAV
Should one covert to flac using mediamonke or EAC?? That doesn't really matter, but I recommend setting up your ripping program (EAC or dbPoweramp) to rip to flac, because then you won't have to remember to do it in MediaMonkey afterwards, so this is less trouble. The ripping program will then rip ...

Re: RIPPING FILES IN FLAC AND WAV
What is the best way of storing music on Hard Drive - Flac format??? What is "best" depends on your needs. Flac has many advantages, being lossless, compressed and DRM-free, so it is the format of my choice. and then ripping to MP3 or WMA or??? If you have ripped your music to flac, converting it ...

Re: We need a 'Sync-Cache' or a 'Shadow-Library'
How are you going to address the problem of the second library growing and taking up a large amount of disk space? Simple: I do not see this as a problem at all. 192kBit/s MP3-versions of FLAC files need about 25% of the space of the originals. So for example with my collection of 20.000 FLAC files ...

Re: EXTREMELY Annoyed With the MediaMonkey Team
Just for starters, I also do not like the tone of the original poster, but anyway... It sounds like you are advocating option 1... but that's a pain in the ass, cause then MM has to update itself with EVERY new iPod software which comes out fairly often. Seeing how many people are having problems ...

Re: Sync everything but HOLIDAY (Genre)
That is rather easy. Simply create an auto-playlist that includes all songs and excludes the songs with the holiday-genre. Then configure your iPod to sync only that playlist.
