On the off-chance that someone else runs into this issue, it's fixed in MMW test build 2024.2.0.3154, released yesterday.
My thanks to Ludek for sorting it.

Re: MM2024 Music listing using columns intended for TV
Hi, I noticed a similar issue reported, which you said is fixed in 2024.2 https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=107623&hilit=Tab Do you think this might be the same root cause? Edit: And I meant to say that, as mentioned, the column corruption also happens when running the Debug version ...

Re: MM2024 Music listing using columns intended for TV
It's been a couple of months running the debug version of MM, and I can still reproduce, but not when DebugView is running at the same time. I've also concluded that the problem is not limited to the Music tab. It's cross-contamination between ANY tabs that happen to be open when MM is run. I ...

Re: Column configuration (in playlist) not saved [#21444]
Reported something similar in December ... https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=107071 I've been running the MM debug version with DebugView running, and never managed to reproduce. With the normal version it happened every few start-ups, so perhaps it's timing related. I also have a ...

Re: MM2024 Music listing using columns intended for TV
Except occasionally they're automatically set incorrectly. That's the issue. Sometimes (not always) on a restart, the columns change as described. I can change them back manually, but it keeps happening. All the affected files are of Music type. It happens for the columns for Music/All files, and ...

Re: MM2024 Music listing using columns intended for TV
I updated from the previous latest release, 5.something, I don't recall the full version number. I didn't manually save the old database, so I assume that's overwritten? I did manually adjust the columns, but my issue is that those changes don't stick. After closing then re-opening MM, the columns ...

Re: MM2024 Music listing using columns intended for TV
Thanks, but Type = Music already for all these library entries, and the scan is set to use Music manually as well

MM2024 Music listing using columns intended for TV
Just updated to MM2024 and noticed that my library listing for 'Music/All files' (Music type) is displaying the columns that I've selected for Series/All videos (TV type) instead. So instead of Title, Artist, Album Artist, Album, etc., it's showing Title, Director, Screenwriter, Season#, Episode ...

Re: For MP4 video title, does MM5 use audio track title instead?
Apologies, I wasn't notified of your reply. I'm using MM 5.0.4.2693 and the MP4 files are mostly from Handbrake. I can see from the chart that for the MP4 title, it states "Yes (©nam, [titl])". So the Yes means that the title is stored in the media file tag, but also that [titl] is not written? I'm ...

For MP4 video title, does MM5 use audio track title instead?
Hi, I've been using MM5 to edit the metadata of MP4 files, and it seems to me that when the video doesn't include a title in its metadata, MM5 uses the title of its audio track instead. Names like 'Stereo' are quite common. I can clear the video title in MM5, and can see that the MP4 file has been ...

Re: Sync to Android issues
Brian, My Samsung tablet appears as 'Card' and 'Tablet' in MM5 when connected via USB. Both devices are showing as connected. I've never tried syncing to either target, but the option to do so is certainly available. You mentioned that 'Card' and 'Tablet' never appear in your list as 'Connected ...

Re: MM5 library takes two runs to fully refresh
Hi, yes, I'd fully expect the problem to go away if I use MM to move/delete files. But I'd prefer to carry on running MM twice, rather than make that change in my use case, because my file/folder management (other than file auto renaming) is done outside of MM. I can see that a safeguard is needed ...

Re: MM5 library takes two runs to fully refresh
Hi Peke, I question whether it's normal behaviour, since on the 1st run there's no popup for the option to 'locate/moved missing tracks'. Maybe this is the fundamental issue. Those deleted items 'silently' remain in the MM library listing until the 2nd run. Next time it happens I could try manually ...

Re: MM5 library takes two runs to fully refresh
It's 5.0.4.2690 and yes, 'Remove Unavailable Items' is enabled.
And unavailable items are always removed on the 2nd invocation.

MM5 library takes two runs to fully refresh
Hi, I've had this behaviour for months (maybe always), but have just lived with it ... Whenever I move or remove tracks from my music collection (in file explorer, say) on the next run of MM5 the old tracks are still listed in the library (although if I select one of the tracks the album art is ...
