Can't Start MMS - Could not locate the bindings file
Trying to start the program on Windows 10 from the command line. Got the below error message. Do I need to install my own copy of Node, or does this come with it? Thanks Using node.js v8.11.3 Caught exception: Error: Could not locate the bindings file. Tried: C:\snapshot\mms\node_modules\windows ...

EOSError?
I just downloaded the latest MM5 beta (2219) from the forum link. When I try to start the program, I get the same error message twice. The title is "EOSError" and the text of the message is: "System Error. Code 126. The specified module could not found." I'm on Windows 10 build 1809. Any help would ...

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
So for now the only workaround seems to be sharing MM.DB (as used to be) until MMW <-> MMW WiFi sync feature is added. MM.DB is where the UUID lives for each DLNA server lives, right? Sharing the MM.DB makes it so you can't consistently connect or sync via DLNA. You guys should put the DLNA server ...

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
As workaround you could use MMW <-> MMA <-> MMW sync (when you use bidi sync) I can't figure out how to set this up. On all of the servers, I set the one with the duplicate UUID to the name "LEGACY DO NOT ENABLE," disabled that one, and created a new server with the name PCX MMW, where X is which ...

Force Tags on Podcast Download
For some reason, the people who run the RSS feeds for some of the podcasts I listen to CANNOT, FOR THE LIFE OF THEM, use a consistent tagging format. I'd like MediaMonkey to be able to override the tags in the RSS feed with a consistent set of tags that I set... on a per subscription basis. For ...

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
Yes, just create another server via Options -> Media Sharing -> [Add] button on PC2. You can disable the old one on PC2. Great. I'll do that when I get home. However, the stuff about how each DLNA server has a different GUID, and if you copy MM.DB, you have to make a new DLNA server, isn't in any ...

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
My environment is pretty similar to what you described. I actually have 3 Windows machines (one of which was disabled for all of this testing, hence PC1 and PC2.) One had been my primary machine, but I copied the music files, the MM.DB, and the ini to a NAS, and then I pulled them all back down to ...

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
Ludek, Since I can see WMP and MMW from MMA if both WMP and MMW are running on the same machine, I'm not sure why changing the port that MMW runs on would help me. The problem occurs when there's two DLNA servers (either WMP or MMW) with different IP addresses (because they're running on different ...

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
Also, I should probably point out that I'm a professional software developer. If you guys want to send me the relevant part of your test procedure (including your standard preparation steps and whatnot,) I can follow it and let you know exactly what I find.

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
Did you try whether e.g. Bubble UPnP app on the Android see your MMW server or any other server on the same PC? Bubble exhibits the same behavior that MMA does. I can see either one or the other of MMW servers, but not both. (Specifically, it seems like the most recently opened MMW server when I ...

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
Lowlander, In the PCs you used in the test, do the MediaMonkey.ini files have values for the fields DLNA_Player_UUID= DLNA_Player_Name= Mine are both blank. I know a UUID is a mathematically unique value, (and I would set DLNA player names to unique values, obviously), so this seems like it is how ...

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
I thought that the debug versions were only released for Beta versions. Since there's enough problems with DLNA syncing already, I'd prefer to stick with the stable release versions where possible. I'm willing to help you find bugs, but it's a lot of EXTRA work to do so if I have to screw around ...

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
1a) I just tried and ran 2 MediaMonkeys (different installs) on the same PC and MediaMonkey 1 detected the Media Server running on MediaMonkey 2 that wasn't assigned port 4000. I've not noticed nor seen reports of MediaMonkey only detecting Media Servers from other MediaMonkey's if they were set to ...

Re: MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
I captured a Windows firewall log, but couldn't see the packets being blocked. One of the messages gave me a hint, I checked, and the Windows UPnP service (from the Windows services console, not the MMW service) was not enabled. I started the service and restarted my machine, and I was able to see ...

MMA Can't See MMW UPnP Server
Hey all, I'm trying to get my MMA device to see the UPnP server running on my MMW machine so I can sync it. I've been banging my head against it but so far no luck. I have the MMW UPnP port set to 4000 because I'm debugging it, and the MMW UPnP server shows up in the Media Servers tree in the MMW ...
