[REQ] Sort by Average Rating in Grid View [#18911]

Hey, Long time MM Gold user, recently switched to MM5. I'm very happy with it in general, but I'm missing one MM4 functionality that I really used a lot, which is sorting the grid view (of e.g. albums per Artist/Year/Genre etc.) by the average rating for each album. I browsed the forum, and found ...

Re: cannot remove folders from location tree

Are you wanting to keep play counts etc? Yes, I don't want to lose play count, date added, date last played. That's why I was looking into editing the database. How difficult is it to remove the references to these folders? I d'ld SQLiteSpy, found the folders table, and even found the references to ...

Re: cannot remove folders from location tree

try running the File Monitor. It should pick up the newly renamed folder and notify you that the aberrant folder is missing from the expected location and remove it. I'm afraid it does the former, but not the latter. The newly renamed folder is now in my library, but so is the old one that I can't ...

Re: cannot remove folders from location tree

Originally both folders contained about 10 and 2 mp3s respectively (an album and a single). Those were moved using 'AutoOrganize'. Why there is still 1 mp3 in one of the folders is unclear, because it was successfully copied to the new location. It just wasn't removed from the old location, as it ...

Re: cannot remove folders from location tree

When you say the files are gone from Windows, that means from the recylcing bin as well, right? Good point. Just checked. The folders were still in the bin. Restored them now. One of them contains 5 jpegs, the other 2 jpegs and an mp3. Also, is your OS set to show hidden files and folders? Yes.

Re: cannot remove folders from location tree

Before you redo everything: Just try running the Locate Moved.... anyway, whether it helps or not (it won't hurt anything). Just did that. No luck... :( I'm looking into editing the database now. Downloaded SQLiteSpy, did some browsing, and found the 'folders' table. I even located the references ...

Re: cannot remove folders from location tree

Then likely you have a database corruption and as indicated Maintain Library (you did run it with complete optimization checked?) doesn't resolve it. Yep, did that with 'complete optimization'. The only solution I see is starting with a new database (or live with the folders being there). Would ...

Re: cannot remove folders from location tree

You may want to use the Entire Library Collection's (enable under File > Manage Collections) Location node to verify the folder(s) have no files in the Library and attempt removal from there. That's exactly where I am :). I'm in the "Entire Library > Location" node. That's where I can see the ...

Re: cannot remove folders from location tree

Hi, thank you both for a quick response! More details about the folders (what they contained) may help to as well as the MediaMonkey version you're using. The folders contained mp3 files, maybe one of them contained FLAC, I'm not sure about that. I'm using MM 4.1.1.1703 / Lifetime license Everytime ...

cannot remove folders from location tree

Hi all, In the location tree in the library, I have two folders that I seem to be unable to delete. Every time I remove them (right click > remove > etc.) they seem to be deleted. But once I close the tree and reopen it, they are there again. I have already tried the most obvious solutions, like ...
