lilbrary on Dropbox?

Dropbox has increased their price and doubled my storage. I didn't ask, but might as well take advantage of the space.
Has anyone put their library on their local Dropbox directory?? How well does it work??
Would love to make all of my music available everywhere.

thnx,

M

NEW ipod touch

Apple has a brand new iPod Touch:
https://www.apple.com/ipod-touch/

Looks closer to a phone without a sim card. Nonetheless, it seems like an interesting idea if you like to keep your music and phone separate (which I do).

Does if play nicely with MediaMonkey???

Any way of persuading MM that the old ipod and the new(old) ipod are really the same device??

wrong iPod after iTunes restore

I had to "restore" my iPod 160 using iTunes. Don't know why, but the ipod insisted. This worked fine, but completely erased my iPod. Now I want to sync using MM. MM recognized the iPod, but thinks it's a different device than the original, which means all of the settings (principally the list of wha...

Re: help with writing CD

I know the Alpine plays mp3 CDs because I used to do this. She found one of my old discs and it worked, which is why she asked for more. As to directories - She's stuck just listening to what I programmed. She can skip a track, but not fool with anything else while the car is moving. Dad thinks that...

Re: help with writing CD

The car audio works fine - if I remember it's an Alpine (my daughter has the car now 1,500 mile away at college) I finally figured it out - the burn wizard tells you how large the cd will be after files are converted, so I can adjust what to include. There is no file structure, or rather a flat stru...

help with writing CD

I need suggestions as to the best way to create a CD for car use. The car player only speaks mp3. I have a large number of tracks, mixed between mp3 and flac. I want to select random tracks and write them to a CD, with MM converting the flac files as they are written. The random selection part I get...

create mp3 CD in random album order

I would like to create a mp3 CD with Albums in random album order, and tracks in numerical order within each album.

This is easy to do in an auto playlist. I don't know how to do this in a selection of albums not in a playlist.

thx,

.

Re: volume analyze for FLAC files not working

Works fine here. Perhaps the files already have a known Track Volume? Well, MM doesn't see the values/tags. Levels (track, album) started blank and stayed that way. No indication that MM was actually doing anything. I've use DbPoweramp in the past to calculate replaygain levels in the past, but MM ...

Re: multi-cpu no longer working?

For one thing I could see CPU usage in the Windows task manager. For another, it use to be that if I analyzed a number of mp3 tracks, I could see multiple results showing up at the same time. Now just one a a time, serially. Probably related, I keep getting crashes in decode.exe. This might be conne...

volume analyze for FLAC files not working

Using version 4.1.15.1830

Apparently analyze volume doesn't work on flac files any more. MM doesn't respond at all request simply ignored.

Any suggestions?? Better tool to do the analysis, where the results are left where MM will see them??
thnx,

multi-cpu no longer working?

Using version 4.1.15.1830
Analyzing tracks (for volume correction) now seems to only use a single CPU. Settings say use all available.

Is this a change??

using iPhone as player

If I right click on the MM volume control, I can select different players. On my installation, I can choose the internal player (which plays on my window's system) , my Yamaha RX-1050 audio receiver, and all three of my Hopper/Joey boxes from my satellite TV provider. The internal player is the defa...

Re: using Unified Remote

Thanks - though the apps seem to all be for Android, and I have an iPhone. As to Monkeymote - I have that - it does work. It has a couple of functional limits, the first being setting the player (since I want to use this to play on an external Yamaha audio system). With Unified Remote I can actually...
