I haven't tried that yet but when I tried deleting the files from the USB in an attempt to clear everything up (as MM creates duplicates) it took a good few hours.

This morning I still have about 800 tracks to go!

That said - I'm still on track 961 of 5649 tracks... and that's been 12 hours. So it hasn't sped it up that much. I'm going to have to cancel it.

The conversion turn-off seems to have sped things up a bit!

Some autoconversion options were selected, so I've unchecked them. Volume levelling wasn't.

I have a USB drive which is about 32GB. I wanted to sync it with MM again as I lost it for ages, but it was taking so long (over a day) that I cancelled it, deleted all the files from it and then tried to resync. This again took hours, so I formatted the drive and tried again, but to no avail ...

Thanks for your reply. It's MM5 on a Windows laptop to an Android phone. I had selected just them to be synced - but it's synced a load of random stuff I didn't ask it to sync - and flatly refuses to sync the two albums I have asked it to sync. this is over Wifi which I find to be much the quickest.

I've synced my server and my phone but a new CD repeatedly refuses to sync across. I have no idea why. I've just discovered the other album by this artist (Jessie Ware) hasn't synced across either. Any ideas why please? Thank you!

The option is for 'hide albums' when you tap the 3 dots on the right hand side, but it's only when you actually view the gallery and you have to select the albums one by one. Thanks, unfortunately it hasn't worked for me - it doesn't help that when I rename a file .nomedia it promptly disappears and I can't find it in a search!

However, I've now found I can hide folders in Samsung gallery and Google Photos has a default for photos only which is helpful.

How do I create a no media file please? Or do I just entitle any file nomedia?
