Re: Any ideas for keeping a record of deleted tracks?
Virtual-CD ... Adding CDs to the Library (without ripping) I've never used the Virtual CD feature in the past, so I'm not terribly familiar with them. That said, skimming over those links, one gets the impression that they are supposed to be added from physical CDs and not digital files already in ...

Re: Any ideas for keeping a record of deleted tracks?
I suspected that would be the case. I also suspect that this isn't something there's mass interest in, so I guess I'll leave it be. Oh well.
Thanks for the insight. Have a good one.

Re: Any ideas for keeping a record of deleted tracks?
Thanks for the response, Lowlander. I have no interest in keeping tracks I don't actually intend to ever listen to, both for hard drive space reasons and simply to avoid having files for no reason. All I'd like to keep is a text entry of basic metadata like title, album and such. On the other hand ...

Any ideas for keeping a record of deleted tracks?
So I was just doing some music catalog housekeeping and deleting some tracks, and thought that it's a pity that once I delete a track, I don't have any way of knowing or remembering that I ever had that track in the first place. To be clear, I don't think there's any viable or scalable solution for ...

Re: Downloading Album Art
I'd say downloading album art really falls in to the realm of personal preference. Everyone has their own way of doing it (or not doing it) and would probably view any other way as inferior and impractical. Personally, I download and assign album art manually for the most part, to keep it all ...

Thanks for the quick response, @vezdanD! I appreciate it. I'll look into that then. Update: I just checked, and the v4.1.1 update of the basic plugin took care of my issue perfectly and now does everything I need it to. Even better than I expected. I'm still surprised you took care of the issue so ...

Re: Export/Create Playlists 4 Child Nodes 4.0 (2013-07-10)[MM2+]
Hey, guys! I've been trying to find a solution to my issue (I think it was alluded to here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=34512&p=392709&hilit=empty#p392709 , but not answered), but haven't found any fix. Hopefully someone can tell me at least whether it's possible within this ...

Re: Ideal way to treat loose tracks without an album?
That seems like a lot of effort compared to effectively ignoring album-volume-leveling. With a lot of "indie" hip hop or electronic tracks, sometimes I import them one by one, sometimes by the dozens, and from a variety of difference sources. It just doesn't seem worthwhile to put in that much ...

Re: Ideal way to treat loose tracks without an album?
John, another reason to put a unique value in the Album field has to do with Volume Analysis. If you "Analyze Volume" on your tracks, and if you have several tracks from an artist that are part of your "no album" group, "Analyze Volume" will (understandably) treat all of those tracks as belonging ...

Re: Hotkey request: edit album art properties
10 years later and this still seems to be the case. I too wish this were an option. Specially considering how many other hotkeys most people will never use are around. It doesn't seem like this would add much clutter in comparison.

Re: Am I adding files wrong? Is there an easier way?
Thanks guys, this helps. Currently, I'll create a folder for the Artist(if there isn't one already), then a folder for the album, then copy over the files, then Rescan the Library, then fix the tags and stuff... Kind of long and clunky, these processes sound better. Auto-Organize is a default ...

Re: Mediamonkey 5?
Still waiting for MediaMonkey 5. Finger crossed! I'd be more than happy to re-buy Gold just as a 'thank you' even though I already have it. Hopefully it's just a matter of time. Though on the other hand, it'll be really interesting to see what happens to the market with all the increased competition ...

Re: Ideal way to treat loose tracks without an album?
Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, so it's kinda what I expected. Though MediaMonkey has no fault in this, I guess there isn't really any ideal solution that doesn't either group them all in a single album, or treat each single track as a seperate album. For some prolific artists that can be a real ...

Re: Am I adding files wrong? Is there an easier way?
Yeah, I think I understand your issue but I don't think there's an easier way for importing/organizing songs. It gets even more complicated if for whatever reason the songs you are importing are not yet properly tagged (you might be adding them to MediaMonkey precisely to do that), so there won't ...
