Unable to locate missing tracks that are there

My problem is a bit different than others related to missing tracks that refuse to be found. (At least I think so, therefore a new topic.)

I had some trouble with my USER data partition that contains my music collection. I recovered all my tracks in my MediaMonkey library, right where they belong, but I had some NTFS file permission problems that affected MediaMonkey (and Firefox). In the process, most of my library tracks "went missing" in MM.

I have fixed the NTFS permission problems, but when I try to locate my missing tracks, MediaMonkey can't find them, even though there are right where they always were (and auto-organized, for the most part). MM shows a question mark for the drive letter, or it shows some [artist - album] weirdness. It's always the same artist and album. In the old days I would modify the database directly using Access, but no longer. I'm using MM 3.0.7.1191.

I can "add" my missing tracks to the library, but that leaves me with duplicates and it omits some track information that I manually entered into the library.

Does anyone have any advice for how I can "force" MediaMonkey to find my missing tracks on drive D: without adding them as new? Thank you so much.

As the Drive ID probably changed you can try the Drive ID script to modify the database.

That did the trick. And I'm sure that it was caused by the drive "moving" from D: to G: before I put it back to D: again. Too bad I ran MM while the drive was G:
