Cannot completely uninstall

Post by bcdude »

I am having trouble with MM on one user on my machine. When I uninstall and reinstall, my gold license (and the problem I am trying to fix by reinstalling) is still there. As administrator I have no gold license and everything works fine, as my user I cannot play audio CDs at all. I have tried deleting the folder "Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey" and in "Program Files", but it persists.

Real Issue: MediaMonkey doesn't seem to play from the CD/DVD reader

It can see the audio CD title, track numbers, and track length, but all are grayed out.

If I try to play the album, the tracks try to play but fail - no error, just skips to the next song.

If I right-click on the CD drive in the tree and select "Get Album Info from Freedb" I have seen the following errors:
"No Audio CD was found. Please insert a CD." or "The media for the Freedb query is unavailable."

If I right-click on the CD drive in the tree and select "Rip audio CD" I get the following error:
"Access violation at address 06932FF2 in module 'hpCDBurn.dll'. Read of address is 00000000."

Like I said in the above post, logged in as administrator there are no issues, and as my user Windows Media Player works fine.
