How to save lyrics in mp3 with minilyrics

hello,

i have minilyrics embedded working properly however it seems i still have an issue to save the lyrics in my mp3 files. In minilyrics preferences i have checked all 3 boxes to save lyrics in my mp3 files : sync with ID3v2, non synch IDV3v2 and Lyrics3v2. + also save Lyrics in a specific directory with all the other lyrics.

May be i did something wrong ? because when in MM i open an mp3 property and go to the lyrics tab, nothing is displayed (of course i've played it before and the lyrics were perfecly working on the minilyrics box) .

Because Minilyrics updates the mp3 files, (not MM) you have to either be monitoring the location where the mp3 files are stored (Options > File monitor) or you have to rescan the tracks (File > Add/rescan...) in order for the lyrics to appear in MM's track properties. Even then, Minilyrics only updates the files after the current track has stopped playing and you've moved onto another track (because minilyrics can't update the tag while MM is playing the file).

So make sure you wait until after you've finished playing the track AND after rescanning (or enabling file monitor) before you check the track properties.

thanks a lot for this clear answer, it works now.

i just need to find a easy way to re-check after quickly if all my lyrics are saved (when already existing), i think i will use a filter or something like this.

Actually it does not work for all songs, something curious.

I still see the lyrics in minilyrics window, i wait long (more than 1 mn ) playing the song thinking that minilyrics needs some time to save it. then i switch to another one, and after some secs i go and rescan my file but here nothing happen...curious it is in the folder and the same artist are others mp3 that just have now they lyrics correct & saved in the mp3 file property. Am i missing something again ?

Every once in a while I come across this problem, usually it is because the mp3 tags have become corrupted somehow and Minilyrics can't update the tag. Usually if I clear the tags via MM (Tools > Advanced tag management > Clear ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags), then re-sync them (Tools > Advanced tag management > Synchronize tags), THEN save the lyrics via Minilyrics, it works.
