I have used MM for a long time. (Lifetime Gold member) I finally upgraded to MM4. I have 'duplicate' versions of my music files in both mp3 and wav and want to have 2 separate 'libraries', one for each format. How do I do it?
PS-my old jukebox machine is an XP and my main machine is win 7 64. Can I install MM4 on the old one and copy over the library/playlists from the win 7 computer to the XP computer?
thanks

Create a Collection (File > Manage Collections) for each file Type with the Criteria Extension is MP3 and one for WAV.

Re: how do I create filter by file type?
You can create/modify collections (Tree Nodes) and select only specific file types.
To create a new collection with mp3 only -
File/Manage Collections
New (Add New Collection)
Add search criteria - Property = extension, condition "equals", select mp3 from list
You can obviously do the same for you wav files

Whoops CP too slow in me typing again
