How To Stop MM From Editing Case of Genre Field??

Post by dissembled »

When I run Mediamonkey, it edits the genre field for some songs by automatically capitalizing the first letter of the genre field. I have OCD and prefer that all the words remain in undercase letters. How do I prevent this from happening? I want MM to leave the case of the letters alone after editing them with MP3Tag.

Many thanks!

MediaMonkey doesn't do this for me, which I actually find annoying.

Noticed that this first started happening when I enabled File Monitoring to run at startup and to run continuously. Could this be it? If not, no one here knows the cause of this annoyance? Please help.

Yes - I prefer Title Case and if you mistakenly type in lower case it creates an additional genre [Grrhh] which means there is now a miss-match.

Apologies to those you don't use OCD (Orange CD). You can change the case for categories easily in OCD and probably should, as all the other fields (genre, for example) consistently have upper case initial letters. I have never understood why category was the sole exception to initial upper case.
