Hey! I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to have MM fade out the current track when I press "Next file" mid-song. I have some songs that are long video game tracks that loop and if I decide to skip in the middle I want to have it fade the current audio out and play the next one so that it doesn't just cut abruptly.
Is something like this even possible with MediaMonkey?

I'd assume that Smooth Seek does this which can be enabled within the Output Plug-in settings (Tools > Options > Output Plug-ins).

Re: How to have MM fade out when I press "Next File"?
I have had smooth seek enabled but this doesn't seem to achieve what I'm looking for. I'm wanting to try and have a fade that's either longer or controllable to mimic how it might normally fade at the end. That way, I can press "next file" at the end of the song's first loop or any point during playback and have a smooth transition into the next.

Hi,
In DJ terms some call that mesh tracks or Crossfade transition to next track.
No, it is not possible in MMW, there was some talks to make things more interesting in MM5, but that feature didn't made the cut because it caused instability in MM.

Hi,
I am glad you asked as it is nice addition to current MM settings.
Anyway, I added it to our To-Do for MM5 as a separate feature at https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17034
