Lots of duplicates (not phantoms)

MediaMonkey version 1.3.8.0196
Library folders on external SD card

MM lists duplicate tracks, apparently at random. Unlike some other complaints, these are NOT "phantom" files - they're not greyed out. The path indicated in the Properties dialog is identical, and deleting one deletes the other. Both are playable.

I've deleted storage and cache for Android Media Store, but that doesn't do anything.

Ideas?
