2433 Bug? Selecting lots of tracks by keyboard looses selection [#18351]

How to reproduce:
Try to select a large quantity* of tracks in "list view" with keyboard.
Select one track and hit "page up/down" or "up/down" Keys continously or consecutively
in order to widen the selection.
Result:
After some point the selection is lost and none is selected.

*a few hundreds at least; there is a threshold below which this does not happen
