Ordered playlists - According to A-Z, or 0-9. They are now just in the order of creation and no way to re-order them.
Randomised track list - Previously I would make a playlist then 'Play Now' then randomise it (and reverse/randomise) some times to get a pseudo-random list, then SAVE it back to the playlist so that when I sync'd with my device I would get a random'd playlist, not rely on the device player to shuffle the tracks.
I did it this way as, if the device gets restarted/battery drains, the playlist would re-shuffle and I would get tracks I have previously heard. Using a pre-shuffled playlist has no problems as the play just takes off from the current point in the list.
This ability is now missing. I tried putting the list in the 'playing now' and randomise/reverse, etc but when I moved it back to the playlist (which I had to remove the existing items) the list would just order A-Z/0-9. A complete failure as there is (and never was) any way to randomise the playlist, only the playing now list.

I don't see playlists ordered by A-Z, for me are ordered according to # (playlist order) as they should:

And if I click [Title] column header then they are ordered by Title, but I can pres F5 or re-visit the playlist node and the order is again by "#" as expected.
If I want to save the the new playlist order then I can click the save icon on the toolbar (tooltip "Save new order")
But I don't quite understand what you have done exactly in MM4, especially I don't understand this:
" I tried putting the list in the 'playing now' and randomise/reverse, etc but when I moved it back to the playlist"
I see the randomize feature in Now Playing list (both in MM4/MM5) but I don't see how "you moved it back to the playlist" using MM4 ?
Can you please eleborate?

I think I understand the issue: In MM4 it was possible to randomize a Now Playing list and then save it as an existing Playlist. In MM5 it's not possible to save the NP list an an existing playlist--it always creates a new one.
This issue will mostly be resolved via https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=16084 , since it'll allow playlists to be randomized without sending them to the NP list.
That said, I see the merit in being able to save the Now Playing list as an existing playlist as well. Tracked at:
