[REQ] Ability to either customize "Playing" info or hide "Click to Look up lyrics..." [#17099]

So a lot of my music is instrumental so it's frustrating having the "Click to look up lyrics..." button persist there, even if I have clicked it before and its not found lyrics!

Maybe consider either hiding the button on songs that have been searched before or having that whole pane on "Playing" be adjustable, like how the different panes can be? Have where you can change what info is displayed on that so that you could do something different than the standard format of:
Art
Artist
Title
Rating
Album
Lyrics

Like you could put different elements in there and perhaps even in different areas?

For example, I have a lot of arcade music and I like to use the comment field to state sound chip info and then use grouping for arcade system so having that displayed would be cool.

For example being able to change the layout to something like this:
Art
Title
Album (game name for my arcade stuff)
Composer (Actual people who made the music for my arcade stuff)
Artist (Game developer for my arcade stuff)
Grouping
Rating

Or something like that?

Like it said it'd be cool too if you could put things in specific areas, like off to the side or something, but honestly it'd just be nice if you could even just use a menu like what's being used now for the "Choose Columns" menu and have it just all be center aligned like it is now!

Preview window can be modified, right click on it and select Layout from the Context Menu. Use Advanced to choose which tags are displayed in the Preview window. This setting works per Type.

When I select "Choose Layout" I just have the options "Album art, lyrics," and two others that I would list if I hadn't have selected "lyrics" and got the pane stuck
No option for "Advanced"

By the way, might consider this a bug. It won't let me right click on the pane to change it back anymore now that I did that, and the pane is abnormally enlarged, taking up the entire play width pane up to the now playing list. I'd post a pic if I could haha. When I go to the main settings, looking under Layout > Preview I get the message "Preview control not found."

Tried restarting a few times but no luck!


Update:
Fixed it! Didn't see that the control for view had moved up to the top pane haha. As I was saying the options are Album art, lyrics, artist bio, and list! As before, no advanced option to be found. The preview section still has "Preview control not found" too, regardless of what view I choose.

Go to Tools > Options > Preview you should see Artwork only, Basic, Side by Side and Advanced with Advanced being able to be Configured.

Hmm. Nope not seeing any of that. I'm using the "Material Design (dark)" skin. Btw

You're talking about the layout options right?

Update. Found out the problem. Under "Layout" I didn't have "Preview" assigned anywhere. However, I don't want to assign it anywhere since I just want to edit the preview that's shown when you select "Playing". I cannot edit this preview screen while the "Preview" element is unassigned in the layout menu. Is this a bug? Please let me know if you need more clarification.


Edit: Upon closer inspection maybe the preview pane isn't what I was talking about this whole time. I meant the actual info that's displayed for the now playing track on the "Playing" window. The pane that you can expand that is on top of the scrolling artwork. The customization for "Preview" doesn't seem to be linked to the info displayed here.

Maybe you mean the Playing node, that doesn't allow customization on which fields will be shown. The customization is available in the Preview window, not the Playing node.

Ah I see. Yeah I was wondering about potentially adding the ability to customize what information is displayed on the now playing file. Like being able to use the "Album Art" view.

So like I said, this view displays the album art in the back, with the options to have it blurred, darkened, or original in addition to animated or not.

However, in the foreground it has a semi-transparent pane that can be expanded displaying a smaller version of the album art. The info in that pane is organized like so:

Album Art
Artist
Title
Rating
Album
Lyrics

So like I was originally saying, it'd be a nice feature to be able to have the order/contents of this pane be customizable. So I could re-order the info or add/remove fields from it. It'd be nice if it could be a menu similar to what is currently in place for the column field selection, and just having them automatically be center aligned as is currently the case would be fine.
