Latest MM5 doesn't import MM4 content [#17233]

Post by tbm72 »

After installing and running the latest MM5 installer (5.0.0.2286 Beta) none of my MM4 content is there. I always do a portable install of MM5 and allow it to use MM4 database and settings on first run but this time none of my MM4 content is there. I've tried deleting and reinstalling several times but same result every time, never had a problem before.

Just tried the previous MM5 installer (5.0.0.2281 Beta) and that works fine importing all my MM4 content/database etc on first run.

Is it that 2286 does not even show the prompt to import the settings or the import silently fails?

Could you please generate debug log (see item 4b here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643)
i.e.
- run DbgView.
- install 286 to a new folder and run (wait several seconds to load the DB)
- save the output from the DbgView

Probably also log from 2281 would be useful to compare.

Thanks!

All fixed in today's update! So great to see it getting close to a release candidate - good luck :)
