unable to install service [#17261]

by the way .. the Install Service button has changed to Uninstall Service

Hi,
1) which build you were testing?
2) Are you saying that this error appeared once you tried to install the service via the [Install Service...] button in the Options > Media Sharing ?
3) Are you able to see the MediaMonkey service in the services list in Windows? i.e. Win key + type services ?
4) Did you accept the UAC prompt upon clicking [Install service...] button and entered your credentials correctly ?
5) If you click [Uninstall Service...] and again [Install service...], does it help to resolve the issue?

Hmm, just tried in 2288 regular and it really fails to install with the same error as mentioned above,
entered as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17261

the service does appear to be installed ... found by using task mgr. BUT now when I start MM5 I get the message that the port is already in use??
