Hi,
I was wondering whether it would be possible for MM5 to show (and preferably also edit) (even) more standard ID3v2 fields.
For instance the field MIXARTIST (TPE4 in the ID3v2.3 standard, often used to denote remixers).
It would be great if it was configurable, which ID3v2 fields to show (and allow to edit) and which not.
Thanks in advance,
charlieMOGUL

Hi,
In MM5 under track properties -> custom you can see, edit and add any field, if you find some that are not saved back correctly please let us know.

Mmmh, i think, that you haven't understood what Charlie means when he is asking for a configurable menu
.
Especially the MM own custom tags are only helpful in a very very individual microcosmos. If Charlie would use the custum tag 10 for the mixing artist, in my configuration it could be something completely different. For instance the artist who created the cover art.
I understood Charlie's suggestion in another way. It would be nice that the whole dialogue would be configurable. Charlie needs the field/tag "mixing artist". And i would like to see the "orchestra" as a permanent field. Other users may prefer other details. To create these fields via extended tags only lasts for the current track. So it is much too uncomfortable for you have to do it again and again and again.
Charlie, please teach me wrong if i misunderstand you

Re: Feature request: Show/edit more ID3v2 fields
The request is support more tags that the standard already supports, but MediaMonkey doesn't. This is different from either Custom or Extended tags and can't be solved with Extended Tags as they're already coded in the standard as a different tag.

Hi,
Thx for example, that was the thing I was missing.
Added as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17467
Please comment/suggest if that is ok With you.
EDIT: MM also have Mood tag under classification, can you check how MP3Tag see it if you add it in MM?

Re: Feature request: Show/edit more ID3v2 fields [#17467]
To answer the question of Peke. When i add content to the field mood within MM5 both other programs i use (dbpoweramp id tag editor and mp3tag) show a field MOOD with the written content.

Hi Peke,
Thanks for creating an item for it: Yes, that's what I meant, that MediaMonkey supports more _standard_ official ID3v2 tags.
Looking forward to seeing it back in a beta
