Installed MM5 for the first time on W10. Just checking out the tagging options at this point.
All working as planned (a few glitches but nothing major). Restarted PC and hit the shortcut to launch it but it tried to reinstall again. At this point I refused permissions for MM5 to change things on my computer.
Launched MM5 from the W10 sidebar instead but now the tick box that you get on autotag has disappeared. Autotag finds the info but there is no way to update the tags. I'm assuming it's because I refused MM5 permission to change my files.
Uninstalled MM5, restarted PC, reinstalled MM5 but the same settings and files areshowing, so it clearly hasn't removed all the settings when i uninstalled.
How do I do a completely clean install?

For anyone else the actual link is
https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... diamonkey/
I have unistalled MM5 using windows remove program.
The next stage is to remove MM files from the Program Files folder.
But there does not seem to be a way of knowing that the files you are deleting in Program Files are MM4 or MM5?
I do not want to touch my MM4 files

For MediaMonkey 5 it would have been installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey 5 (or %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\MediaMonkey 5).

Re: How to COMPLETELY Uninstall MM5 and then clean Install
There is no folder in program files called Media Monkey 5. Just Media Monkey.
My problem with the tagging might not be related to the uninstall after all.
I have done a clean install using the portable option.
Am I missing something on how to update the tags when they have been found from muiscbrainz?
On rescan/autotag there is a tick box to update the tags and a "tag and continue" box to press.
But when I right click on a track to autotag, it finds the same info but the tag and continue box stays greyed out.

Did you select any files to be updated in the Auto-Tag window? You need to select which files you want to update: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/WebHel ... g_Auto-Tag

Yes, set up my options of which data to lookup ie Date,Album,Album artist
Highlighted a few tracks, right clicked, clicked auto tag.
The tracks appear with the new info in red/orange (I'm colourblind!)
But of the two boxes "Tag and Continue" and "cancel" only cancel is avaialble.
It has worked before, but not now

In the Auto-Tag window there is a checkbox in front of Title. Only when you enable this for at least 1 file will Tag and Continue become available.

Re: How to COMPLETELY Uninstall MM5 and then clean Install
So I uninstalled and reinstalled.
I highlighted one track...it worked!
A highlighted the rest , not working again
Lifetime Licence less than 100 tracks highlighted.
Tried on just one track again, nope, same problem, the check boxes don't appear and the tag and continue stays greyed out.
Must be a bug

Ok I think I've found the bug.
In the options for which metadaa fields to tag I removed title and artist.
This is the problem, with no Title field there is no check box.
I added title again and it works perfectly.
SOLVED
