Hi,
My wish would be CD-TEXT support...
Even though many audio CD's (and players!) that you buy in the store still don't have CD-TEXT title/track information it's really a great feature, especially for home-made compilation CD's.
Other than original CD's, compilation audio CD's can't properly be looked up in the FreeDB. If you instruct your CD-Writing software to add this information when you burn it, any audio CD player that supports this 1996 standard will show you the title/artist info in the screen.
Unfortunately, WinAMP doesn't support it, but maybe you can have SongsDB read this separately upon indexing.
(personally, I don't get why WinAmp and many standalone audio CD players don't support this - or indeed, why the info isn't added to every post-1996 CD production!)
thanks,
Endorf

Me too.My wish would be CD-TEXT support...
And if you have a large number of these, you really need either CD-Text support OR the possibility of IMPORTING from cdplayer.ini or other files or databases.it's really a great feature, especially for home-made compilation CD's.
CD text support would be a great addition to this appealing program.

I will be looking forward to the addition of CD-text feature - any idea when this might come to pass?jiri wrote:Songs-DB currently imports from CDPlayer.ini
WRT CDplayer.ini, I searched both the Help file and the manual file but found no reference to either CDplayer.ini or even to the word Import. Nor did I find the feature listed as a menu option anywhere in the program (though I did see the Export options). Can you please tell me where I need to look in order to import from my CDplayer.ini file.
TIA

Unfortunatelly I cannot say more about CD-Text, it is in the to-do list as well as a number of other interesting features. I'll try to do my best...
Actually, you don't need to do anything for using CDplayer.ini file. Songs-DB automatically imports data from this file when a new CD is scanned, you just need to have the file in the Windows folder, then it should work.
