mp3pro plugin

Post by noelrk »

Sorry for the stupid question but i tried to install mp3pro plugin (since i have a number of mp3pro files) and i can´t install it unless i have the winamp player (not my case).

How can i intall mp3pro without having winamp?

I also read that mad plugin won´t work with mp3pro plugin. Is there anything similar to mad but compatible with mp3pro plugin?

mp3pro plugin

Unfortunately, some plugin installers search for winamp files and directories before allowing installation. For these cases, you'll have to install winamp and then run the installer. After the installer has run, copy the .dlls from Winamp's plugins directory to MediaMonkey's.

As far as conflicts between the MP3Pro plugin and MAD, I haven't observed any, however, I haven't tested with any MP3Pro files (from what I read on the MP3 Plugin page it's possible to disable it for standard MP3 files).
