I would like to create a filter based on the number of tracks I have from each artist. I want to do this so that I can organize tracks by artists who have only one or two tracks in my library differently from artists who have more than two tracks in my library. Is it possible to do this?
Thanks,
Filter based on Artist track count

Re: Filter based on Artist track count
It's possible, but depending on your use of the "Multiple Artists" feature would make it somewhat unreliable. The Auto-Playlist and Filter features have a criteria for "# Tracks by Artist" which should do what you want. You set it to more than 3 for instance, and then only tracks by and artist who has more than three tracks will appear.
However, like I mentioned, if you use multiple artists then it can be a little problematic. Even if you had the main artist listed first and used the "first" rename mask for instance, then if you had a track by "Artist 1; Artist 2" and only had one track by Artist 1, but had hundreds by Artist 2, then that track would appear in a playlist/filter set up to show tracks by an artist with more than x Tracks.

Thanks for the assistance. I was not aware of the "# Tracks by Artist" criteria. That's pretty cool!
Multiple artists are a little bit of a problem, but your advice is still a big help.
