Leave file name out of file path

I would like to have the filename left out of the file path field. The File Path & File Name fields would provide the location of the file.
This would make sorting for editing files easier for me. Now they are always sorted on artist name (as all files are artist - title.mp3), when sorted on file path.

true. both behaviours (the existing one and your suggested one) could be combined by providing an additional column labeled 'FilePathOnly' ...
