I successfully stream FLAC files created in MM to my Yamaha receiver.
While a FLAC file was playing, I closed Media Monkey on the PC. Then the AVR lost the connection to the MM library on the PC.
How can I avoid this? I want to have access to all those FLAC files even though MM is not running, but the PC is on.
Thanks,
Kevin

That is not possible, you need to keep MediaMonkey running for the Media Server to be available.

Or minimize it to tray if you want, i.e. change to MicroPlayer

Re: AV Receiver plays FLAC only when MM running as applicati
Are there any plans to split MM into a client and a true standalone DLNA media server (ie, one that runs as a service instead of a user process, auto-starts at boot, and doesn't require the MM client to be running in order to access the server)? That would sure make it much easier to run the MM server full-time in the background, and would hopefully reduce the footprint of the server. With the explosive growth of Smart TV's that support DLNA, this is becoming more and more important to the way MM is used.Ludek wrote:Or minimize it to tray if you want, i.e. change to MicroPlayer
