Can I disable all tag editing?
I have multiple computers on different networks that all have the same library. When I make changes on my main computer, the changes also occur on my other "sub" computers via internet. Now my question is can I disable all tag editing? I would like to do this on my "sub" computers so me or someone else doesn't accidentally change something on them. I want all changes to be done on the main computer so everything is in sync. Is there a feature or plugin in Media Monkey that would allow me to do this?

You can disable it in the Options under "Tags & Playlists" section

No, I tried that. It doesn't seem to effect anything. When I uncheck "Update tags when editing properties". I am still able to edit tags. Am I missing something?
Re: Can I disable all tag editing?
You'll still be able to edit tags in MediaMonkey, but they won't affect the files tags. You can use View > Party Mode to disable tagging in MediaMonkey.

It will only change the values stored in the MM database, but it won't actually update the file tags.indirected wrote:No, I tried that. It doesn't seem to effect anything. When I uncheck "Update tags when editing properties". I am still able to edit tags. Am I missing something?

Awesome, thanks a bunch!
One more thing I just noticed is that I can't exit Media Monkey without leaving Party Mode. Is there a way around this?
I would like "Party Mode" to be the permanent mode on certain computers, meaning users would need to have the option to exit the program.

Re: Can I disable all tag editing?
I don't think so. maybe enabling the menu bar is the way to do so, but that may be something you don't want to do.

How to exit Media Monkey IN "Party Mode"?
I have multiple computers that all have the same library. When I make changes on my main computer, the changes also occur on my other "sub" computers via internet. I would like all my sub computers to ALWAYS run MM in "Party Mode" so no changes are made on these computers, so that everything remains in sync. However I realized once MM is started in Party Mode it cannot be closed, without first exiting Party Mode. Is there any way around this? A user of a sub computer needs to be able to close MM in Party Mode since I want MM to always remain in Party Mode.
