162 no longer shows external SDCard JB 4.3 [#11256]
I am running 4.3 and the latest build no longer let me sync to external storage sdcard. It was working before.
Re: 162 no longer show external storage sync
I think some more info is needed. I am currently running MMW Beta 1656 and MMA 162 and sync is working here.
Not sure what you mean by 4.3 and what version of MMA are you using. What phone etc

Re: 162 no longer show external storage sync
Are you doing wifi or USB sync, did you check that the device profile for the external card isn't disabled in MMW (Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync)?

Re: 162 no longer show external storage sync
This is for the WIFI sync. With build 162(latest) and android 4.3 (Cyanogenmod), on a Galaxy SIII (747m).
This could be something with cyanogenmod, but it worked with previous build.
I tried to clear the cache but same issue. Anyone else has the same?

Re: 162 no longer show external storage sync
I have the same exact problems and the same exact details.
I decided to try out the new android 4.3 with Cyanogenmod on my Galaxy SIII (AT&T). Everything seems to work great, except Media Monkey no longer seems to recognize i have a sd card. I am however able to use the sd card just fine in all other areas i've checked. Media monkey seems to be the only application (that i've tried) that is having problems recognizing it.
Everything worked fine before going to 4.3 with Cyanogenmod, so it is certainly related to that in some way. Whether it is a 4.3 change or a Cyanogenmod change/bug, i don't know, but the limited effect of the problem seems to point to a change rather than a bug.

Re: 162 no longer show external storage sync
Is the path to the external card exactly the same under Cyanogenmod as it was under the original Android? Maybe /storage/extSdCard (for example) has become /storage/sdcard1 (or something, I haven't played with Cyanogenmod at all). I know when I first got my Tab, I had issues with another app because the Samsung pathname to the card wasn't something the author had anticipated.
Re: 162 no longer show external storage sync
When looking at the filesystem, both /extSdCard and /external_sd point to my sdcard and previously synced music is found there.
Re: 162 no longer show external storage sync
The same thing happens here on all Android 4.3 roms. Flashing back to 4.2 always fixes the issue. For some reason Media Monkey doesn't see the external SD card on Android 4.3.

Hi,
This was fixed in build 165, which was just posted, but we have a limited number of devices running JB 4.3 that have external SD cards, so I'd much appreciate your feedback re. whether the fix works for you.
Thanks.

Re: 162 no longer shows external SDCard JB 4.3 [#11256]
Hello -
I just downloaded v. 1.0.4.0165 from Google Play store, to my rooted Sprint Samsung gs2 (SPH-D710). MM automatically recognizes my "internal" SD card ("/storage/sdcard0") and correctly scans it for tracks & data; however it doesn't recognize my external SD card ("/storage/extSDCard") and it doesn't offer me a chance to make it my default storage folder.
I am running stock 4.1.2. My SD card is a SanDisk Ultra sdxc 64Gb, with file structure converted from default exFAT to NTSC format; I am using "Paragon exFAT, NTFS & HFS+" to enable access to the full 64Gb.
Seems I've read that other people can access their external SD cards in 4.1.2. Can you help me?

Re: 162 no longer shows external SDCard JB 4.3 [#11256]
FWIW, on my Galaxy Tab 2 w/ JB4.2.2, MMA 165 recognizes /storage/extSdCard
Re: 162 no longer shows external SDCard JB 4.3 [#11256]
Most likely the problem is with way you use "SanDisk Ultra sdxc 64Gb". From My experience even device say it support 64GB they often do not and/or it needs to be formatted on Device that again make issues when you insert same card into PC card Reader.
If you think otherwise please open support ticket and we will initiate much deeper tests.
