I am kind of new user, and evaluating 4.1 latest build.
I have MM installed on desktop PC in living room, and another installed on a Win8.1 laptop in basement as a full-blown "remote control" with all MM features/UI to play to a DLNA device. I would like to keep a single library on the desktop PC, and be able to load it remotely on the laptop MM. I want to use the laptop MM UI to browse the desktop library (instead of browsing through the Media share structure). As far as I can tell, there is not a way to do this.
On laptop I pointed to the Media Server share (desktop) to get library content, but this causes a new library built on the laptop and it tries to monitor the desktop library Media share content regularly.
Is there any way to remotely load /access a library on one MM install from another MM install, without having to rebuild/duplicate library?
Probably I am not familiar enough with MM yet to understand the library access.

Through Media Servers is the way to go.
You could also share the DB, but it isn't designed for that: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... ticleid=49
