Wifi streaming stops 10-15 minutes into a movie

Post by RustyWedges »

MM is installed on a Win7 PC. The movies are on a NAS drive. The NAS and the PC are wired. I can stream movies through my xbox which is also wired without issue. My laptop and Samsung TV are wireless and they both stop 10-15 minutes in to the movie. I don't think signal strength is the problem. My laptop's signal quality is 4 bars, speed is 65Mbps. My TV show 3 bars. Any advice on what I can do to resolve this issue?

My daughter has just been watching hrs of tv eps wirelessly (and does so most mornings before work). Can you test the signl strength to your tv or wireless device. Some pretty good free apps for android are available

its ranging between -65 -70 dbm. Stayed that range the entire time while watching a video, turned off around the same time. I tried watching a movie last night it ran for about an 1hour before cutting off.
