Feature Requests: Replay Button

Post by CD71 »

Is it possible to add a "Replay" button?
When last playlist item has played, music stops playing.

It would be nice to get a possabilty to choose "Replay" and music will not end when last playlist item is reached.
(I hope this is a Feature Request and not my fail to find this feature...)

I'm not sure if this is what you mean--but there currently is a repeat button:
Tap the Artwork of the Now Playing track, and it'll show ratings/shuffle/repeat buttons.

Thanks you, that is what I'm looking for.

Currently the space for the 3 elements will be taken from the cover picture.
From my side it would be great, if you can make the elements visible without facing a part of the cover?

That would reduce the space available for cover. I like the current implementation that these items which I seldom use are hidden till needed.

I'm not totally happy with the current implementation either:
Like Lowlander, I like the fact that it doesn't take up much space from the regular UI, but I don't like how it always obscures AA or that new users have trouble finding the option.

For the future I'd like to improve on it, but we haven't yet decided on how...

Having to always select (i.e., enable) the ability to repeat a playlist when it ends is annoying (the same thing with shuffle). We should be able to just choose Play and have MMA play tracks (using random tracks and playlist that repeat, if possible). One way to improve these features in MMA is to add an Option to always repeat playlist when complete (the same thing for shuffle). Maybe something like "Repeat playlist by default" and "Shuffle playlist tracks by default". If it is a selectable Option in MMA, the user can enable these features to be the default and they wouldn't have to be selected each time MMA is used.

BTW - what I mean by Play is that when I use MMA and I'm playing tracks in a playlist, and I exit MMA, the next time that I use MMA, I just select the Play icon and it will continue and play tracks from the same playlist that I had used previously. However, if I don't use the shuffle overlay icon to initiate playing the tracks, then it doesn't shuffle the playlist any longer. So to get it to shuffle the playlist, I have to go into the playlist and choose to shuffle it each time (versus just being able to play the tracks in the playlist by using Play).

These two features should be available (selectable) to be enabled by default in Options.

Thanks

I've had my MMA said to Shuffle and Repeat All for a long time now. No need to keep setting this.

Yes, I stand corrected. I used to have to set these constantly (and they didn't work well). I hadn't tried them in a little while, but now they seem to be working just fine. Glad that I tested them.

Thanks
