For some reason, the people who run the RSS feeds for some of the podcasts I listen to CANNOT, FOR THE LIFE OF THEM, use a consistent tagging format.
I'd like MediaMonkey to be able to override the tags in the RSS feed with a consistent set of tags that I set... on a per subscription basis.
For example, sometimes the feed for "The Adam and Dr. Drew Show" lists the Podcast and/or the Artist as "The Adam and Dr. Drew Show" and sometimes the feed lists it as "Carolla Digital" (which is the name of the company that produces the show.) There's no rhyme or reason to which of those is the Podcast and which of those is the Artist. (Sometimes, one of the two fields is blank.) The Artist field never has "Adam Carolla; Dr. Drew Pinsky", which are the actual names of the hosts.
The problem comes in when I go to listen in MMA. MMA's view of Podcasts sees two files as coming from the same series ONLY IF their Artist field and Podcast field are the same. So when I go to listen to the next show, it might be listed under "The Adam and Dr. Drew Show", "Carolla Digital", or "Unknown Podcast."
MMW doesn't currently have a way to set automatic podcast tagging rules that are different for different podcast feeds. That would be a big improvement.

I second this motion. I noticed this behavior on MMA as well. Makes listening to podcasts a little frustrating.
