Exclude SDCard folders from sync not in library [#13251]

Hi,

I have an issue with my synchronisation process from MMW to MMA (external SD card on my Motorola Moto G 2) :

1- During a sync, i have an ask about deletion for tracks that are outside of my choosed MMA library folders.

2- My "library folders" setting on MMA change from "MUSIQUE\Ma musique" to "SD card (all)" after each sync.

On my Windows PC, my music is organised like this :

D:\MUSIQUE\Ma musique\<Genre>\<Artiste de l'album>\<Album> (<Année>)\<Piste n°:2>. <Titre>

So, D:\MUSIQUE\Ma musique is my main folder.

I want my music on my android device be a mirror of my Windows PC folder and i want it on "External SD card\MUSIQUE\Ma musique" :

So i have this mask in device synchronisation setting :

\<Répertoire>\<Nom du fichier>

and setting "force use of mask" checked.

For playlist sync, i choosed this folder to be created on my android sd card : "MUSIQUE\Playlist".

On my android external SD card, i have also others audio files in MUSIQUE\test\ , for test prupose only, which i want to be excluded from synchronisation and mma library.

Before sync, i have this setting for "library folders" on MMA :



I can't delete these 3 first emplacements, do you know why ?

I start the sync process, and i'm surprised to have an ask about deletion for tracks that are outside my choosed MMA library folders (MUSIQUE\Ma musique) like all lines you can see in this next screenshot : "band limited...", "centre", droite" and "gauche" are from MUSIQUE\test folder, and "VID..." is from "SDCARD\DCIM" folder. These two folders should be ignored ?! :



So i answer "no" and the synchronisation start then finish.

I retreive all my music and all my playslists :



but "test audio files" from my MUSIQUE\test folder are also included to library because the "library folder" settings has changed :



So i have to set again the "library folder setting" : delete "SD card (all)" line and add "MUSIQUE\Ma musique" and "MUSIQUE\Playlist".

Then, i start a new "check media" but at the end, all my playlists are displayed as "empty" :



So i have to delete my playlists in MMA and sync again to recreate them. It works but i'm back to the same process, and so the same issues..

What is the pb ?

How can i force MMA to sync and add to library only my two folders "MUSIQUE\Ma musique" and "MUSIQUE\Playslists folders" as a mirror of my PC folders, and ignore others files and folders ?

Renaming happens for all files in folders selected as other media files (I presume), deletion happens based on your delete settings (MMW: Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync).

I tried to uncheck all others emplacements (in red), but when i apply by "ok", i f i go back in the same windows settings, all is checked again

Hi,

I never resolved this issue and i'm now on MMA 1.2.0.0589 (new beta channel).

Maybe my explanations aren't clear enought ?

That's expected as the files deleted from MMW are no longer in the Library thus you need to set it to all media files for deletion to work.

That's was just a try. Usally i have the setting "all others medias files" in MMW.

This is my issues :

Can you please send one log from MMA before sync, one log after sync and post log IDs here?

Hi,

Ok, so before to do that i updated MMW and MMA to last version : 4.1.12.1790 and 1.2.0.0593.

This is a log before sync :

I start a sync and MMA ask me for deletions and updates : about 500 deletions (i'm suprised about that), i cancelled the sync but my library folders have already been changed :

This should be fixed in MMA 1.2.0.596 when it gets available.
