add music

Post by Radek »

Hi,
I would like to add music to library but it is working. I can add music just from internal memory not from sd card.
Can you anybody tell me why ?
Thank you

Hi Radek,

Can you tell me what device / android version you're using?

Also, when you say that you can't 'add' content, do you mean that just scanning the content from your device's SD card isn't working? Or that you're unable to sync content from your PC?

In general, with MMA the preferred approach is to sync content from MMW to MMA so that all metadata / ratings / play history are kept in sync. If sync is working for internal memory but not the SD card, it normally implies a permissions problem. Please share the details of the problem so that you can get a more specific answer.

Thanks!

Hi,
sorry, i`m really novice with android,i`m pc and iphone user.
So i have got car navigation with android marshmallow 6.0.
I want to add music to library from sd card not sync content from pc.
From internal memory is not problem and you are right, probably it is problem with permission, but i don`t have idea
how solve that.
Cheers.

Hi Radek,

Re. to give MMA permission to access the SD card, see: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... e/View/237

Note, however, that just inserting the SD card into your Android Car Navigation device won't yield optimal results--to complete the operation, you need to do a Wi-Fi sync after inserting the SD card as described at http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... oid_device

p.s. if this doesn't solve the problem for you, please let me know the path to the music on your SD card.
