Clearing the MMA Library

Post by flipster »

I'm putting a substantial library on my phone. However, often, artwork isn't right (not the fault of MMA - they were tagged incorrectly) ... so I go correct it on the PC, and recopy the files to the phone. But there doesn't seem to be a way to tell MMA "hey, refresh the info for this folder" or even for the whole library. I've even deleted artists/albums from MMA and copied the ones with corrected artwork over, only to have it "remember" what it had before. And last -- even deleting the database file doesn't always seem to work - it's like somehow it cached the DB info somewhere.

It would be cool if we had the "clear library" feature on Android like we do on Windows. A secondary feature to refresh content for particular folders while leaving the others alone would be cool, too ... but I could get by with "clear library".

Unless someone knows of a way to do it now :-)

If you're copying files to the device directly it's up to Android Media Scanner to pick up changes. In other words, MediaMonkey gets file info from it.

Have you tried check for new/changed media from the Options in MMA?

Hi, thanks, I tweaked the settings and it seemed to be working correctly now.
