Sync MM5 PCs over the internet?
Is there a way to sync two PCs running MM5 over the internet? It's not so much the syncing of the music files themselves, but the database info like the playlists and such.

Have the music and playlists on the "donor / master" PC backed up to a cloud service like One Drive, Google Drive or Dropbox.
Regularly export your playlists to a folder as M3Us and probably relative paths on this master PC.
On the other slave PC(s) install the relevant cloud service and have the files stored locally so that you have a copy of both the music and the Playlists in a similar (perhaps identical) folder structure.
Get MMW on the other slave PC(s) to scan the music and playlists folder at start-up.
You will find that some information - stored in the master PC's MM.DB database - is not transferred, but information held in the music file tags is.
The good thing is that you have a backup of both your Playlists and music files. You will need to have something like 1 Terabyte of cloud storage for say 100k-200k music files.
MMW5 has some ability to connect to cloud services BUT I recall that it works for OneDrive Personal (normally around 5Gb) but there is some work yet to be done for OneDrive Business (normally around 5 Tb). Similarly standard Dropbox and GoogleDrive are in the Gb range. So expect some costs for the cloud service!
Whilst I personally have not done this, I do something similar. This allows me to run my "master" using MMW4 and thus get the benefit of all the add-ons, CD-burning, lyrics lookup etc. The "slave" PCs (laptops in my case) typically run MMW5 so that they can benefit from Drakenite's 3D Flow Album View add-on.

Do you mean syncing two PCs on the home network or one PC at home and another at work? You can sync two PCs over the internet (including playlists and auto-playlists) via the cloud services (Devices & Services > Storages and services (+)).
Alternativelly you may install MM5 as portable on a portable USB stick (or external disc) and thus always have your music and your database with you (no matter which PC you are using).
