It means that old profiles still do not detect higher quality M4As as supported as device, you need to manually set M4A support to all bitrates.
If I knew how to do that I would do it.

Hi,
Sorry, my mistake. Use Devices and Services -> Device in question -> Options -> Conversation -> Supported formats.

I have not tried this yet. But, despite that it does not seem that "hard"? Is this something that a new beta made possible?

Image Let me know if this is the dialog box? And, do I just adjust the min/max to some compatible value? Or, is more required?
EDIT: i.e. What is the MAX value?

If you set it as Zero it should support all values.

Is this all I have to do? I wanted to Sync all of those M4A files to my phone w/o them converting to MP3?

Hi,
Yes, as that will tell MM that all M4A are supported so no conversion.

How do I remove the converted MP3s from my phone? Deleting them from the phone and doing another WiFi sync with MM5?

I went through all that trouble and the conversion to MP3 still happened. I re-checked the MAX value. It did not retain the 0 value.
Set Formats>Click on "Audio" that contains M4A [with other formats as well]>Click on the EDIT button. Change MAX to 0.Click on OK. Click on OK. Finally, click on APPLY. MAX goes back to 160 where it was in the beginning.
EDIT: I can't find Change MAX to 0 in the Support Files?

Hi,
I simply Added M4A as supported format and moved to top of list and your sample tracks worked, no other changes were required.

As usual, your settings must be different from mine. Auto-conversion>Set Formats>Compatible Media Formats>Moved Audio that contains M4A to top of list as you said>Tried to change the Bit Rates, this never holds the change. Click OK [as I said above] until you Click on APPLY.

Looks like another candidate for remote session.

EDIT: There is something different in the settings in MM5 on your PC vs. mine. It's that simple. But, it can take a long time to compare the two to match?
EDIT2: Is it here? Image
