I am getting issues with Failed to convert errors on syncing from MMW to MMA. I have submitted a log:
Log ID: 4ASG4VPUZ9
Description: Failed to convert
This isn't happening on all files, just on some. I am syncing a playlist of 100 podcasts, all .MP3 with varying bitrates. There seems to be no difference in terms of bitrate or size between files that get synced and files that do not. Given these are all .MP3 files with bitrates between 64k and 160k, I don't understand why they would need converting. All these files play fine on MMW, as do files that do transfer on MMA.

Please start with updating to the latest MediaMonkey 2024 release as you're using an old beta.

Re: Failed to convert
Thanks. I did check for updates before I reported but MMW said I was up to date. Anyway, that seems to have fixed it, even though there is nothing obvious in the fix list that seems to relate.
Re: Failed to convert
Sadly, it's happening again. I updated to the latest version of MM beta, and a few more files got through, but there are still some that did not. Those that didn't transfer seem no different in length, bit rate, file size, number of tracks, sampling rate, podcast, source, or any other relevant property. So, some episodes of a podcast might transfer while others do not.
What can I do to (a) fix this, or (b) if I can't fix it, track down the reason(s)?

Re: Failed to convert
Please capture the Sync in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?t=86643
Within the Ticket please note some files that failed to convert.
You can also test manual convert to see if that fails too, if it does, a log of that would work too, and perhaps including 1 of the failed files.

Re: Failed to convert
That's really strange about those "Failed to convert" errors you're seeing when syncing from Media Monkey to the Android app. It's weird that it's only happening on some of the files and not others, since they all seem to be standard MP3 format.
Re: Failed to convert
Thanks @Lowlander and @philmed.
Bizarrely, I just did a sync with no problems. I then deleted the files that had been played and synced again, and it worked fine. I haven't changed anything on either MMW or MMA.
If I do get issues again, I will follow @Lowlander's recommendations.
