I'm scanning my CD collection so putting SongsDB through its paces.

Good so far. However, found what looks like an intermittent problem. Here's what I do:

* I insert a new music CD
* I click on the CDROM's drive letter to confirm the CD is available, and request the CD info from freedb via the context menu
* Then I play the individual songs to determine which are worth extracting for the online archive, starting with the first.

It's here that the software often gets confused. The built-in player plays the first song on the CD but breaks off about e.g. 20 seconds prior to its end. When clicking on the second song, the player, as expected, displays the name of that song, but continues playing the first song onwards from the point it broke off, i.e., its last 20 seconds!! Once it has completed that, it continues playing the second song without further intervention.

Closing and re-starting SongsDB prior to scanning a new CD seems to prevent the above from happening.

It almost looks like the TOC (table of content) really divides the CD into such tracks, does it play correctly in some other player? Anyway, if you find any error in the internal CD player, you can replace it by any other plug-in (like in_cdda.dll distributed with WinAmp or CD-Reader which is listed at http://www.songs-db.com/plugins.php, depending on your preference).

Jiri,

thanks.

Using the CD-Reader plugin, the problem no longer shows up.
