LibraryPanes: Library panes like these in Winamp, iRiver, ..
Without more information, I'm affraid I can't help. The email fixes should cover it all.
Extensions: ExternalTools, ExtractFields, SongPreviewer, LinkedTracks, CleanImport, and some other scripts (Need Help with Addons > List of All Scripts).
Wouldn't it be possible to create an own searchbox for your script (within your pane)? Then it would know what has been typed.Steegy wrote:That's not possible. The script can not know what search text / search type you used, and it can not get the search query used by MediaMonkey.but are there any news on a feature that updates LibraryPanes when typing sth in the searchbox?
It would even be possible to change the search style to be more Winamp like. If you input two words in the searchbox of MM only tracks comprising the _sequence_ of these words in a textfield are found. Winamp treats each word seperately and finds all tracks which have e.g. the first word in one text field and the second in another one. For exmple, if I input "beatles jude" in the searchbox of MM I will find nothing although I have the track "hey jude" from the Beatles. Winamp will find it. This kind of search is already possible in MM using the extended search, so it shold be possible to create a searchfield having this functionality.
Wouldn't that be great?

I don't know

I love the browser function in MM3, but I don't want to install MM3 on my main computer until it at least reaches beta. So I decided to use LibraryPanes for MM2 right now, and after I got the auto-reply solution (very clever technique!), it's working perfectly. I think MM3 should even implement LP's feature of keeping the lists to the left complete as you browse.
Anyway, thanks so much for the great script, Steegy!

I very much appreciate your thanks.
I hope it is obvious to everyone that development of this script has stopped (quite a while back actually) because it isn't really needed anymore in MM3. I really like things built in instead of all going by scripts (this might seem quite awkward for a scripter to say) so I was very happy when I heared that MM 3.0 would include a Winamp-style browser (forget iTunes, they just copied it!).

I've not seen that error message before! It's very strange, it seems to be implying that the UI component within MM is not available - I cannot explain this!!

Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.
All the code for my website and scripts is safely backed up immediately and for free using Dropbox.

Me neither. Do other gui-related (e.g. with a form or an option sheet) scripts work fine?

Since I was unable to find a similar error in this thread, I wanted to bring it to your attention to see if it was something you have already encountered. I guess I have to do without this particular feature till v3.0beta. Is this error specific for newer builds of v2.5? Anyways, thanks for your other scripts, especially monkeyrok

Then maybe the error is caused because you have an old version of the ActiveX control installed.
It's probably also said in the automatic mail you got, how to download the necessary file (ActiveX control) e.g. from Microsoft's site. Try to update your current version with the newest version. You can also get the necessary file (Microsoft Windows Common Controls 5.0 (SP2)) from here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... t_Controls
This is just a guess. Please ask if it isn't clear, then I'll explain better.
