Definitely not fixed there.

Just opened MM and the window has shrunk and positioned itself back to a default location and size.

Which Build (Help > About) are you using?

The current version. Always keep it updated when it prompts, so version 5.1.0.2811.

That's an old beta release, the current beta build is 2819.

If the issue still occurs, please capture the resizing of MediaMonkey, the closing, then starting of MediaMonkey in a debug log (step 4b). Do make sure that between closing and starting MediaMonkey that MediaMonkey disappears from the Task Manager. If the problem happened, save the log and attach it to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?t=86643

Thanks will try the new beta. I did check for updates but that beta said it was the latest.

The window resize doesn't happen every time of course.

Could maximizing of the window be happening somewhere along the way? It may be a trigger.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I never have it maximised. Just a preferred size and location on my desktop, wide enough to see a good number of data columns, but also sharing the desktop space with other apps windows.

I did at one point think that shutting down the PC with it minimised to the system tray was an issue for loosing the last window size position, but after testing it isn't reproducible.

Still happening.... twice in two days.

Seems to be related to closing MM from the tray icon with the app not on full screen.

Any ideas?

Anyone else suffer this annoying window positioning feature?

Hi,

Hi tested 2024.0.0.3040 and can't replicate. Does it occur consistently for you whenever you close MM via the MM tray icon? Or is it random?

Thanks for the reply.

It is random for sure, but happened twice in a row last week, over two days.

Just launched now, and it's opened at last size/position fine, closed from the tray and reopened, three times in a row and OK.

I have no other app that looses it's size/position, so it's definitely a thing with MM.

I can't recreate it on demand repeatedly (which I get for a support fix, is hard to work with), but for me it is a thing and an annoyance, every so often, it'll loses it's last size/position and opens in a default tiny window as if it hasn't ever been run before.
