Re: Batch Art Finder 3.0 [MM2+3]
Same here
The script stopped working in the last day or so for google images but works for other sources (which is a shame as google seems to be the best source). It hangs no matter how many albums I select and/or how I set the batch limit.
Tried uninstalling the script / deleting the ini setting / deleting the temp files and so forth but it is still borked. FWIW I am on vista64 and have not applied any OS patches in the last few days.
If it helps here is my log (3 albums selected in this case):

Re: Batch Art Finder 3.0 [MM2+3]
I have the same problem, if I choose Google, BAF locks up, the cursor goes into an endless loop and I have to close down MM. I'm trying to work out what could be causing it. Google? Microsoft? Really strange it only started to happen a couple of days ago...I wonder what could be causing it?

Re: Batch Art Finder 3.0 [MM2+3]
I also have that problem which started about a week ago. I also reinstalled the script. I'm running the latest version of MM and I even reinstalled it. I've made no changes to my OS (XP Pro), to my browser (IE 7), or any other hardware or software changes. Only the Google option has ever found art for any of my classical CD's.d024912 wrote:I have the same problem, if I choose Google, BAF locks up, the cursor goes into an endless loop and I have to close down MM.
I thought that Batch Art Finder was nice but not that big a deal until it stopped working.

I'm thinking Trix has got the idea it isn't working anymore. Obviously, Google has changed something.

Re: Batch Art Finder 3.0 [MM2+3]
The browser that you have installed is irrelevant, this script uses an IE OCX regardless. Google must have changed something about the way the search works - I'll try to get this resolved in the next version.

Re: Batch Art Finder 3.0 [MM2+3]
Yeah, that works. Batch Art Finder now places the downloaded Cover into my MP3-folder, but it still has a bug:trixmoto wrote:This means that in your "MediaMonkey.ini" file you have in your [FilenameMappings] section an entry like of "5C=2D". Removing this and making your mask "<path>\abc" should give you the results you expect.
Storage type: Download file (don't tag)
After I restart MediaMonkey, the Cover within MediaMonkey is gone. It just shows me the typical "none.jpg"-artwork. But the Path to the correct album-art is set correctly. And the jpg is still at the same place -> within the mp3 folder.
But MediaMonkey won't show it. Why?
Any ideas?
Re: Batch Art Finder 3.0 [MM2+3]
It doesn't show the image because you've selected "Download only (don't tag)" - this mode doesn't create a tag, it only downloads the file.

Re: Batch Art Finder 3.0 [MM2+3]
Ah ok, I see.trixmoto wrote:It doesn't show the image because you've selected "Download only (don't tag)" - this mode doesn't create a tag, it only downloads the file.
I just want following to do:
1. Download a cover.jpg into the mp3-folder without editing those mp3-files (what happens, when you select "tag")
2. Show me the cover within MediaMonkey
Well, how to archive this?
Right now I download the Album-Art with Storage type "Download file (dont tag)", then I add the picture manually again.
After all I remove the "Added by Trixmoto's BatchArtFinder script"-album-art, because after a MediaMoney-Restart it shows me only the none.jpg Album Art instead.
Regards,
//EDIT:
btw, any chance, that "Batch Art Finder" sort from large to small picture? So that he shows me first the biggest picture?
