fyi, build 1244 is rolling out to Beta subscribers on the Play store. It includes the following fixes:

Gapless playback (a regression was introduced in the last beta build 1243)
Artwork lookup and editing
Artist search may fail to update results

fyi we've posted a new MediaMonkey for Android 2.0.5 build 1246/1247 to the beta channel to fix the following:

fyi a new beta has started rolling out. It includes:

Translations for Chinese, Czech, Dutch, Italian, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Swedish.

Fixes
Sync may fail even if server can connect
UPnP
- Switch to jUPnP library
- Playback is silent after skipping ahead
- Incorrect playback position for some servers
- UPnP server may not be found
- Failed connection to Cambridge CXN

fyi a new beta is rolling out--it fixes numerous issues including a couple of stability regressions introduced in the last beta build. Also fyi, we've changed the release number from 2.0.6 to 2.1 given the scope of changes compared to 2.0.5.

Build 1264 fixes:
- New audio engine (this fixes issues with Gapless playback that couldn't be completely fixed otherwise. You can revert to the old engine via Options > Playback > Playback engine
- Target: Android 15
- Audio may stop/freeze
- Sorting in Location view
- Translation tweaks
- Stability

Build 1261 fixes
- Pinch to zoom
- Wrong count for some nodes
- Scan UI tweaks

We plan to post another 2.1 beta next week, and to release shortly thereafter. Please let us know if you experience any issues with this build. Thanks!

Build 1268 started rolling out yesterday.

It includes quite a few fixes:

Audio
- Missing Codec error for some m4a tracks (regression 1265)
- Seeking is broken for certain tracks (regression 1265)
- Lound noise when sleep fading completes (regression 1265)
- Equalizer: settings don't persist correctly in some cases
- Equalizer: balance fails
- Equalizer: doesn't work on some devices
UI
- Removed the Play Shuffled button for AudioBooks and Podcasts
- Preserve scroll/list position when swiping BACK
- Collapse menu in landscape view so that there's more space to list tracks
- Info bar is cut off on some devices (regression)
- Track count doesn't update after edits to metadata
Playing
- Queue behaves incorrectly if the Playing track is deleted
Casting: moving seekbar to end doesn't work
Sync: Unknown ratings aren't synced back to MMA

We're working on one remaining issue and hope to release 2.1 this week.

Hi,

Build 1271 has begun rolling out today.

It fixes most of the remaining issues for the 2.1 release, including:
- Stability fixes (including a regression introduced in build 1268)
- Play Now / Play Next: currently playing track doesn't display
- Switching languages may fail
Sync fixes:
- Scrolling through the sync list can freeze
- Unknown error on sync
- Playlists may not sync
Audio:
- m4a files that are unsupported play silently (instead of skipping)
- Volume leveling reduces volume too much for tracks with very low leveling coefficient (regression)

We hope to release 2.1 to Production very soon, so please let us know if you experience any serious issues. Thanks!

We're happy to announce the release of MMA 2.1.0.1274 to all users! It should start rolling out gradually today. Thank you to all the beta testers who provided feedback along the way, and to translators who've helped with the new translations!

It's a pretty major release that includes about 40 fixes and improvements. Here's a summary:

- Version 2.1 includes a new Audio engine ('Exo'). If you experience issues you can revert to the previous version 'Native' via Options > Playback.
- There's a new Developer option to enable a new Volume Leveling algorithm that improves leveling for low-volume tracks. It wasn't included as a regular feature due to limited testing time, but you can enable it by:
-- Enabling the Developer options (Options > About > tap the icon)
-- Enabling the feature (Options > Developer options > Level Volume:Exo)

We've updated 2.1.0 with a new build (1276) that fixes several more stability issues along with a problem in which volume leveling doesn't kick in immediately in some cases.

It's currently rolling out to beta users, and is expected to start rolling out to all users later this week.

-'Missing codec' error that occurs when playing multi-channel files
-10ms gap in gapless mode
- Several stability issues

Build 1277 is now available to beta subscribers, and should start rolling out to other users over the weekend.
