Hi,

I used to have a couple of addons pined to a toolbar in the top sections of my MM4 (as buttons).

I tried to re-establish those in MM5, but couldn't find where (I searched both the interface and the forum).
Just added the Genius Lyrics addon, and I still wonder how to start it

Any clue ? Thanks a lot !

That one adds Genius to the existing Lyrics lookup, so I guess (haven't used it) that you can enable/disable this under Tools > Options > Metadata lookup as a source to be used.

Auto-tagging is activated in Library>Metadata lookup - but neither lyrics, nor cover art will "auto-tag".
Although the manual "Lookup image" and "Lookup lyrics" do work (great).

So I guess I hsould request somewhere to add this to MM5 wish list !

Make sure you only install MediaMonkey 5 compatible Addons (MediaMonkey 4 Addons aren't compatible).

However, per my post above :

So I guess that's more of a bug report than anything to to with addons - and maybe I should open a different post / change the name of this one.

So you're saying when Preview is set to Playing or Selected it doesn't do auto-lookup? Or are you saying that Tools > Auto-Tag fails?

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using?

exactly [although Opions>Library>Metadata Lookup>Auto-tagging is checked for Artwork and selected for Lyrics]

Are those fields set to be displayed? Only if they're set to be shown will lookup happen if you allowed it to be done automatically under Tools > Options > Metadata Lookup

For me Lyrics is looked up automatically by Preview.

To answer your question :
. yes, lyrics & cover were displayed (but on the "side-by-side" mode - which is my "standard" preview window setup);
with this display mode, lyrics & cover do not update automatically;
. however, per your msg, I switched to "advanced" mode -lyrics is selected- and lyrics do update automatically.

So thanks, problem solved !
note: if perfection was requested, lyrics could be automatically updated when in "side-by-side" layout - but as is is fine for me : I shift to "advanced" layout to update a large number of lyrics, and back to "side-by-side" afterwards.
