I use the MM app on Android to wirelessly sync audio between my PC server and my phone, and this includes audiobooks. I do not use the MM app for playing audiobooks, however, as I prefer a different app for that. The files always sync over without error, but all of my .m4b audiobook files always convert to mp3 during the sync, which I don't want.
Things I have tried so far, based on advice from searching this forum:
- (On server) MM Tools -> Options -> Media Sharing -> double-click the server -> Auto-Conversion Tab: Enabled all audio formats, unchecked Level Volume, disabled all audio file conversions. This made no difference.
- (On server) MM Tools -> Options -> Media Sharing -> double-click the server -> double-click the client address -> Auto-Conversion Tab: Enabled all audio formats, unchecked Level Volume, disabled all audio file conversions. This made no difference.
- (On server) MM Tools -> Options -> Media Sharing -> double-click the server -> double-click the client address -> Auto-Conversion Tab: Un-check Customize for this Device. This made no difference.
- (On server) MM Tools -> Options -> Media Sharing -> Remove and Recreate the server, then try above steps again as needed. This made no difference.
- (On Android) Uninstall app, reset everything, reconnect to server, redefine sync. This made no difference.
Thanks!
