I get an error which reads " TOC of CDROM unit J: was not read successfully " everytime i try to scan an Audio-CD. MP3-CD scanning works fine. What is that supposed to mean ?
You probably have some virtual CD-ROM unit (like Deamon Tools do). Songs-DB has currently problems with audio CDs while such tools are installed. So far it is necessary to disable CD-ROM drive emulation, it will be fixed in the future.
Thanks for the reply. I had some remnants of Paragon CD-Emulator in my WinXP-Registry, deleted it, but no difference. I then tried my Win98SE platform with no CD-Emulator-Software ever installed. Same happens. Any other suggestions or workarounds ?
So you have just as many drive letters as real CD-ROM drives (Probably 1)? In that case Songs-DB should work fine. If it doesn't, please send me as many details about your machine as possible to jh@songs-db.com.
Hello Jiri, i discovered that the problem is not any software or driver conflict. Actually it happens just if you have only 1 CD in either of the CD-ROMs. If both are loaded with a CD of any type "scan media" works. Only one thing strange remains. If you load 2 Audio-CDs in your CD-ROMs the first CD appears on the second CD-ROM and the other way around.
Everything works fine now. I made my CD-ROMs appear the same sequence they do on my Controller. The problem obviously was that i used a lower letter for my second drive than for my first. My fault.
