Double plays/double skips and double scrobbles

Post by PhilDG »

I just installed the latest version of MMA (134) from the play store today and all of the plays/skips and scrobbles since has doubled up. After syncing back to MMW the playcounts and skipcounts in MMW have 1 extra play for everything since the update.

In addition to this, since getting home and browsing through the artists, suddenly all of the tracks disappeared - I think I've seen posts like this before. Now I'm doing a sync again and it's going to re-sync all of the tracks. Is this something that's been re-introduced?

Are they on the external or internal memory?

I don't see double scrobbles on 134, however there are playback issues: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 21&t=71777

They are on the external card - I don't know what will happen next as MMA is now refreshing the entire library

I've lost the playlist on the external card, but as 134 is very buggy I'm not surprised.

134 had some major issues. Please retry with 136 and let us know if the problems are solved.

Thanks.

On first look 136 looks much better all round and I'm no longer getting double plays/scrobbles/skips.

I take that back - on sync back to MMW it looks like the tracks have been re-scrobbled giving me duplicates - any ideas?

PhilDG,

Can you clarify how to replicate? e.g. Which player is scrobbling--MMA or MMW?

I think the double scrobble issue was due to the fact that I was using scrobble droid and with the most recent release of MMA, the native client scrobbled too. I have turned off any scrobbling through the native client now and am just using scrobble droid and it worked today.

However, my plays and skips were not recognised when I re-synced today. I am using the latest MMW and MMA - MMW is new since I last synced so I am going to try with the previous version.

Oh - hold on - I'm doing another sync with the latest version and it's now deleting everything on the external card - why does it keep doing this?

I can't say I'm over-impressed with the recent build of MMW - 1640 - when I synced wirelessly with MMA it removed all of my tracks (1600 or so) completely from the external SD card and then subsequent syncs said there was nothing to sync - I went back to 1638 and the sync has started as expected. I also suspect that this was the reason for not syncing playcounts/skipcounts etc.
