playlists disappear on USB sync

I have seen this behavior before, but tonight I was able to be somewhat systematic in testing.

I did a USB sync. After it finished I shut down MMW, unplugged the cable, and launched MMA. MMA ran a scan that took 90 or so seconds. After it ran, I checked my playlists, but none were showing up. I then checked the mediastore using Playlist Backup, and nothing was there.

So I did another USB sync, shut down MMW, unplugged the cable, and checked Playlist Backup. It showed 6 playlists, but with no titles, and when I tried to check the contents, Playlist Backup said that the lists were empty. I immediately forced a media scan, and after it ran, launched MMA. The playlists were present and accounted for.

I don't know if the second process will work every time, or if it was just coincidence this time, but I will continue watching and testing.
