User Guide for MMA

Is there a user guide somewhere that lists every setup parameter for MMA and syncing and discusses the implication? I know there is a context sensitive balloon when one hovers over the topic and some stuff on Wiki but I'm wondering if there is something more detailed that lists every parameter. It would be very useful and would prevent a trial and error approach for things that are not covered or obscure, which takes a lot of time.
