Can't sync MMA to external SD card

Hi,

I'm running an Xperia Z3 on Android 4.4.4, and MMA syncs to the internal SD even though I've set it up not to do this. All my music is on the external SD, and up until now this has always worked well. I have modded my phone to allow apps to write to an external SD, and unchecked 'sync to this location' in the settings. Nevertheless, MMA starts downloading all my music to the internal SD again when I try to sync.
How can I fix this?

MMW may have switched the memory designation. Renaming the Device Profiles in MMW and changing sync settings accordingly is the fix for this.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction. I looked at the device profiles and I saw a number of old ones from my Galaxy s2, and a few 'D6603 - Internal Storage'. No SD card though. So I deleted them all and re-configured sync. It also asked for wifi sync permissions for the internal storage, which I denied.
Now it syncs to the SD card, and there's a correctly named profile in the list in MMW.

Thanks for this. I was going crazy trying to get MMW to sync with SD card on my Galaxy S5. I tried everything. After reading this, I deleted most of the devices from MMW and did a sync from my phone and it magically added the SD Card to the list (which it would never do before.) No more problems.

This has been a widespread problem which seems to be resolved in Beta release 4.1.10.1766...the problem is associated with certain versions of MMA, SD cards and the interaction with MMW....I understand the new final version release will occur later this week...Here's the link:

Updating to MMA build 502 should resolve the problem as well--though there's still a problem with USB Playlist synchronization that's being worked on
